How women can get ready for the workplace of the future with Preeti Bendele
“Women and men face a period of disruption and change. It will be vital for both to develop
(1) the skills that will be in demand;
(2) the flexibility and mobility needed to negotiate labor-market transitions successfully; and
(3) the access to and knowledge of technology necessary to work with automated systems, including participating in its creation.
Unfortunately, women often face long-established and pervasive structural and societal barriers that could hinder them in all three of these areas—and has made progress toward gender equality in work slow.” (McKinsey Global Institute, Report 2019)
Thus, Preeti Bendele will join us with her experiences regarding professional development and lifelong learning. She frequently encourages people and specifically women to find their voice, to steer visibility, and to create impact. With her knowledge of technology and education she will highlight important skills for the future work environment, and why those could be especially beneficial for women. She will share some strategies, tools and advice with us to use in our professional lives.
Preeti is the Dean of the Hapag-Lloyd Academy since 2023 building out the new global corporate academy while she also holds the chair of the supervisory board at FIDANIA AG. Before, she spent 22 years at McKinsey & Company, e.g. as the Director of People and Capability Building where she focussed on development of “Digital Leaders”, along with comprehensive people development programs for the full range of career paths in high-performing and fast-moving organizations.
