Dear alumni, dear friends,

The Museum Angewandte Kunst is dedicating its exhibition The Collection of Maximilian von Goldschmidt-Rothschild to the private collector and patron and his former art collection. Its history reflects the life of its collector, who was persecuted as a Jew during National Socialism. Maximilian von Goldschmidt-Rothschild combined professional success, education and philanthropic commitment. His private collection of more than 1500 objects was considered one of the most important in Germany at the beginning of the 20th century.

We cordially invite you to an exclusive guided tour of the exhibition in English on Saturday, 6 May 2023.

We will meet at the Foyer of Museum Angewandte Kunst, Schaumainkai 17, 60594 Frankfurt am Main, at 3.30 pm, 30 min ahead of the tour to allow time for cloakroom and distribution of entrance tickets, so that we can start the tour on time.

Afterwards, we would like to have dinner together at the Apfelweinwirtschaft Dauth-Schneider at ~6 pm to network and discuss our impressions of the exhibition. Of course, you can also join us for the networking dinner only.

Please register by Wednesday, 3 May, by completing the online registration form. We encourage you to sign-up early, as we allocate places on a first-come, first-served basis.

The guided tour is free of charge for members of the German Friends of LSE. The participation fee for non-members is €10, which we ask you to either pay by Paypal or provide us a SEPA direct debit mandate. Dinner and drinks at Dauth-Schneider are paid by each participant individually.

Please contact us if you have any questions. We are looking forward to seeing you at this event.

Kind regards,

Pia Wagner, President
